Desalination plants are, in our experience, too often supplied as a generic, “one-style-suits-all”, plant with insufficient, prior consideration given to the customer’s specific needs and expectations. Most land-based desalination plants have unique characteristics that are derived from their location and the needs of the facility dependant upon the potable water produced by the plant. Many sea-going plants must be specifically designed to fit into the available space of existing vessels. Waterwitch strongly advises prospective clients to consider purchasing simple, robust, easily understood, desalination plants that utilize a minimum of individual components with only high quality, industry standard, components used. This design ethic always pays off in reduced maintenance, therefore lower running costs, and negates enforced dependence on the manufacturer for specialized information and components only available from the manufacturer. We do not produce the lowest priced water-makers available but then again we do not produce the most expensive either.
